Yeah, there is no doubting that The Pretenders was one of the great debuts, but I disagree with those who say the follow up was rushed and a let down. Pretenders II is filled with gorgeous melodies, soulful singing, and the wonderful guitar of James Honeyman-Scott. Seeing the video for “Talk of the Town” reminds me of why I had such an enormous teenage crush on Chrissie Hynde back when the record first came out.
